Our Charges and Payments
Our Charges and Payment of the Funeral Account Explained
At SimplerWays it is our policy to provide you with a written estimate of all our costs and funeral arrangements, including disbursements (items we pay for on your behalf), which is usually done at the time of arranging the funeral. Where this is not possible, the estimate will be provided at the earliest opportunity, usually the same or following day.

Our prices are broken down into several parts:

Charges for the funeral services provided by ourselves
Any additional services and expenses
Disbursements
(payments made to third parties such as Crematorium, Clergy and Doctors fees)

It is important to be realistic with respect to funeral expenditure. We do not want a family to spend more than they should, nor less than they would like. It is important that the final arrangements are in keeping with both a family's wishes and their budget.

Our all inclusive funeral options are founded on a policy of requesting a 50% part payment
plus the full cost any of the additional services to
be paid three working days before the funeral takes place (excluding the Crystal option). We are happy to agree a funeral date that gives you time to gather the funds required, as well as allow time for any of the payment options to clear in our account.

Remember, we do not require payment to begin the process of arranging the funeral and looking after your loved one, this will begin immediately.

The balance of the account will be due for payment 14 days after the funeral service takes place.

For your convenience we accept the following methods of payment:

Cash
Cheque
Debit card
Credit cards (additional charges apply)
Direct Bank Transfer
Internet Banking Payments
Pre-paid Funeral Plan

We can accept single or multiple payments against an individual family account.

Other payment options:

If you are intending to use funds from your loved one's own account, we will provide you with an invoice to present to their bank so you are able to request immediate payment.

If you are relying on an insurance policy to cover the funeral expenses, please be aware that you may not get access to the funds until after the funeral.

If you are planning to make a Social Fund claim, we will provide a final invoice for immediate submission to the DWP to support your claim.

We still require a minimum part payment of 50% or maybe more before the funeral takes place depending on the option chosen and for the following reasons:

There is no guarantee that any claim will succeed
Claims can take up to 16 weeks to process
An award is unlikely to cover absolutely everything you want us to provide, even at our sensible prices
Please be assured that any overpayment will be refunded to you if your award is received into our account.
